Kentucky Equine Humane Center Volunteer
Nicholasville, KY
Spring Break 2016

During Spring Break of my 1st year as a Master's student, I went on an Alternative Break service trip through UW-Madison's Wisconsin Union Directorate (WUD). Myself, along with 9 other students went to the Kentucky Equine Humane Center in Nicholasville, Kentucky. The center takes in abandoned and abused horses, rehabiliates them, and finds them new homes. Tasks included: helping the center prepare for a tack sale, cleaning barn stalls, removing old hay from the loft, and various other barn chores
