Maptime Madison Workshop: December 7th, 2016

I am currently a co-organizer of the Madison, WI chapter of Maptime. Maptime is a volunteer-run organization of map makers and map enthusiasts who bring cartography/GIS/data activities to the general public. We stress free and open source software with the goal of sharing our knowledge with other map-lovers. I ran this workshop about thematic maps, and explored making online web maps with Carto.

Chemistry Presentation: November 21st, 2016

I was invited to give a talk to the Advanced Organic Chemistry class at St. Norbert College, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry. My talk focused on the North American hazardous waste trade, which I am studying in Graduate School at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. It was great being back in a class that I had taken a few years earlier, and I really enjoyed connecting with the students and professors and sharing information about my project and life in graduate school.

Chemistry Club Presentation: April 17, 2015

I was invited to speak for the Chemistry Club at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin. The talk focused on what I was up to after graduating from the college. The presentation contained information about the UW-Madison GIS Certificate Program and included projects I was working on at the time.
